That made me laugh

You maybe know, that one of my alts is an Engineer.. one reaction to the patch notes for 1.3.4 in the official forum made me laugh..

Im glad they nerfed tangling wire, that ability was op as waffle.  I could sometimes get ticks of over 22 damage! thats like 130 damage all together!

Actually..the only thing you can do as an Engineer is laugh ;) This class doesn’t get any love at all in the last couple of months (maybe no love at all)..It’s a wonder that they are still being played.

Scream loud and you will be heared

It’s good to hear that Mythic is planning to re-think the plans of streamlining the scenario-structure.

They should now analyze why some scenarios are fun and some just aren’t fun in any way. Just to name one example ..Thunder Valley.. I can’t remember anyone liking this scenario. It’s just too much running around and to few fighting going on. This scenarios could be called a small-scale city siege experience…just boring ;)

What I would like to keep is the separation between several zones in T4. So a different set of scenarios for various stages of the campaign of a pairing. At least to me this give scenarios some sort of variety and connection to the ORvR campaign.

If this is going to be cut, then the scenarios should not contribute anything to the campaign. Maybe they shouldn’t contribute anything anyways.

One thing I really wish they would enable would be a sort of separation between pug’s and premades. I don’t think that I’m alone there. Of course there would be people who would like to crush pug’s and get easy renown, but I think that the majority wants competition and fights where they get the feeling of accomplishing something. Otherwise the city” fights” wouldn’t be so hated ;)

Once again.. just meh..no. not just meh.

Patch notes for patch 1.3.4 are out..and I must say.. that it takes the totally wrong turn. Check the notes out.  I will focus on two things..

One minor one.. the changes to the Runepriest.
Mythic fixed a bug..so they say… with the bouncing part of Rune of Serenity and adjusted the heal/tick parts, because it now no longer heals initially on application. Still trying to get excited by so much love for the career ;)

The major part that annoys me, are the changes to the scenarios.

Mythic basically cut out all scenarios and replaces them with Nordenwatch and Gates of Ekrund. That’s…I try to be kind here..is totally idiotic. I’m happy when I’m in T1 and Nordenwatch is not popping up…
All the scenarios that are left are totally zerg-able and no one needs to use a brain for winning them. The direction of this changes are not what this kind of gameplay needs.

There were some issues with the T4 scenarios, but not all of them were bad. I just can’t understand why Mythic only leaves Battle for Praag. This patch will kill the variety in scenarios, because you know most of them from T1 on. It’s imo a really bad design decision and doesn’t support the fun in scenarios.

The announcement for the other scenarios returning during Live-Events is nothing I’m too happy about.. This means that no further scenarios will be designed and new players will have trouble, when they get something like a murder-ball scenario…

I start to wonder how Mythic is able to shoot themselves in so many different ways, in so many different body parts..
